Three US service members were killed and five were “seriously injured” as part of the attacks on Iran, according to US Central Command.
“As of 9:30 a.m. EDT, March 1, three U.S. service members were killed in action and five others were critically wounded as part of Operation Epic Fury,” U.S. Central Command announced Sunday morning in a statement. Share on X.
The post continued: “A number of others suffered minor injuries from shrapnel and concussions – and are in the process of returning to duty.” “Major combat operations are continuing and our response efforts are continuing.”
The three American deaths and other injuries announced by US Central Command occurred in Kuwait, according to US officials.
US Central Command said the identities of the dead service members were being withheld “until 24 hours after their next of kin has been notified,” adding that the “situation is fluid.”
