Iran live updates: Trump renews Iran threats, urges agreement ‘before it’s too late’

President Donald Trump on Thursday, during his first Cabinet meeting since the start of the war in Iran, rejected the need for talks to end the conflict, saying the process had so paralyzed Iran that it was Tehran that was seeking a deal.
Although the president touted Thursday that the United States is currently engaged in “substantive talks” with Iran, and his administration offered a 15-point plan to resolve the conflict, he also said there are still “other targets we want to hit before we leave,” and that he “doesn’t care” whether there is a deal or not.
When asked whether he might postpone the deadline for negotiations on not striking energy sites in Iran, Trump said that would depend on how the negotiations go.
