This Week in Sports Trivia: October 30, 2025

However, this World Series between the Toronto Blue Jays and Los Angeles Dodgers ends, and Game 3 will always be remembered.
Not only was it the longest game in World Series history, lasting nearly seven hours, but it was also filled with a series of wild and unexpected events, including Freddie Freeman’s walk-off home run in the bottom of the 18th inning. Just look at some of these nuggets pointed out by Jason Stark:
• Freeman is the only person to hit a homer in the 18th inning of any MLB game. He is also the only person to have hit a grand slam with his team coming off a win in any MLB game. He has now done both in the last two World Series.
• Shohei Ohtani had four extra-base hits and five walks. This has never happened before in any match.
• No one has reached base seven times in a playoff game. Ohtani did so with five overtime rounds.
• More Ohtani: He was the first to draw five home runs and the first to draw four intentional home runs in a World Series game.
There’s a lot more, so read the story (if you have time).
Then take a test this week.
Then rest for the rest of the series.
