A property manager has been arrested in connection with a possible biolab in Las Vegas and faces a federal firearm charge
A man charged in connection with a possible illegal biological laboratory operation in Las Vegas allegedly had a large stash of firearms hidden in his home that were illegal for him to own, according to a federal criminal complaint.
Police said Uri Solomon, the manager of the residence where the alleged biolab was located, was arrested over the weekend.
When authorities searched his Las Vegas home on Saturday as part of the investigation into the alleged biolab, they discovered bullets lying on Solomon’s computer rack and a black Glock semi-automatic pistol in a nearby closet, according to the complaint. The arrest warrant did not include forfeiture of the weapons, so they had to leave them there, the complaint said.
During a phone call with his adult daughter Sunday, Solomon asked about firearms, according to the complaint.
“Are there any weapons left? Are there any weapons left in the house or did they confiscate them?” he asked, according to the complaint. “The three guns, I think they found the safe box that contained the gun, but they couldn’t open it,” the complaint said.

Federal authorities obtained a warrant and returned to Solomon’s home to confiscate the weapons on Monday, according to the complaint.
According to the complaint, “numerous firearms, ammunition and firearms accessories” were confiscated, including several semi-automatic handguns and an assault rifle.
Solomon is in the United States on a temporary work visa that “prohibits him from owning or possessing a firearm,” the complaint said.
He was charged federally with violating a ban on a person possessing a firearm. The complaint named him as Uri Salomon, although it noted that he also went by the name Uri Solomon.
Additionally, he was charged in Nevada with felony unauthorized disposal/discharge of hazardous waste in connection with the alleged illicit biolab, located at a Northeast Las Vegas residence.
Local and federal investigators are working to determine what substances were found at the property, where more than 1,000 samples have been sent for testing, authorities said.
Las Vegas Police Chief Kevin McMahill said during a news conference on Monday that “biological and potentially hazardous materials” were primarily located in a locked garage at the home.
In the garage, investigators found multiple freezers containing vials of unknown liquids, unknown liquids in gallon-sized containers, a centrifuge and other laboratory equipment, authorities said.
The evidence has since been transferred to an FBI lab for testing, according to the mayor.
The owner of the property where the suspected biolab was located was arrested and charged in 2023 Authorities said it was an investigation into an illegal biolab in Reedley, California. The owner, a Chinese national, remains in federal custody and has pleaded not guilty.
